EVERYBODY:
Salem Lutheran Church is interested in students helping with their neighborhood gardens on May 11 at 12:30, for about an hour. They need help preparing the ground and planting. Please let your religion teacher know if you will be able to attend and the church will prepare treats for you.
SENIOR HIGH:
Prom Tickets: Prom tickets are now being sold in the snack shack during 3rd lunch for $60 per person. Apple Pay, Google Pay or Debit & Credit cards are accepted.
Tomorrow, April 16, our freshman will be taking the PreACT8/9 Test during the first 3 periods of the day. On April 18, our sophomores will be taking the PreACT test during the first 3 periods of their day. Students might miss a few minutes of 4th hour. Bring calculators and pencils.
Please be certain that you arrive well-rested and ready to test. A good breakfast is also important to this experience
Junior Boys: Illinois Boys State is accepting applications for their summer week-long camp. This is a well-regarded citizenship/leadership training program held at EIU. Numerous scholarship opportunities are available to attendees. There is a similar program open to Junior Girls. See Mr. Kortze for more information.
Law Enforcement Academy: Students between the ages of 15 and 17 are eligible for the Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Academy. June 23-28 This is held at Camp Lincoln in Springfield IL. This would be a great experience for someone interested in law enforcement or criminal justice as a career. See Mr. Kortze for more information.
