ATHLETICS

Many of the principles and skills that are learned in the classroom are challenged and developed through participation in athletics. The field of competition provides the opportunity for character growth and the development of our student athletes. These programs provide a venue for students to challenge themselves to do their best and strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives.

Rockford Lutheran High School is privileged to be a member of the Big Northern Conference at the high school level. This affiliation allows us to continue the excellent opportunities for competition with schools such as Byron, Oregon, Stillman Valley and Winnebago. The Junior High competes in the Northern Conference against schools such as Christian Life, Harlem, Freeport Jr. High, Roscoe, Rockford Christian and Stephen Mack.

We emphasize the development of sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork as fundamental to the success of each student athlete. Total programs incorporate preparation and competition, both in-season and off. Our facilities provide quality practice environments, as well as weight training and conditioning opportunities.
