Admissions Application Process Overview

Our Admissions Process for new students is simple!
  1. You can start by contacting Julie Behmer in our Admissions Office or by submitting Inquiry Request online.
  2. For grades 6-12, the schedule set up a Shadow Day for your students.
  3. Submit an Application for Admissions online.
    Note: You will first be required to create a unique account in the FACTS system. If needed, our School/District Code is: RL-IL
  4. Request academic records for the current school (if applicable).
  5. Obtain and submit Standardized Assessment score reports or schedule an assessment test through the Admissions Office.
  6. Submit any 504 Accommodation Plans or IEP/ISP documents (if indicated on Application).
  7. Schedule an Educational Consultation with the school Principal and an Admissions Interview through Julie Behmer in Admissions Office.
  8. Students seeking admission to Preschool levels (PK3-PK4) or Kindergarten will need to schedule and complete a Screening Assessment - coordinated through Julie Behmer.

Offers of Admission

After all of the steps in the Admissions Application Process are completed, our team will review your information and establish the eligibility for admission for your student. You will then be notified in writing and/or by phone of the admission decision. 

If you are Offered Admission, upon your acceptance, we will work with you to obtain any additional forms or information to enable your child to enroll and then register or be assigned to a classroom.

Enrollment of New Students

Once an Offer for Admissions is Accepted …
you will be ready to move on to Enrollment and Registration!

You will receive an email inviting you to complete the Enrollment process online through the FACTS system. You will use the login you already created during the application process and relevant information already provided will be presented and verified.

The following additional items will be required for all students before formal Enrollment

  • Birth Certificate (scanned copy to upload)
  • Enrollment Fee and Tuition Deposit
  • FACTS Tuition Management billing system account and acceptance of Billing Contract Terms
  • Association Church Membership verification form (if applicable)
  • Health/Medical Forms
  • Acceptance of the Enrollment Agreement

We respectfully request copies of testing results if your child has ever had any of the following:

  • Speech and/or hearing therapy
  • Psychological/educational assessments
  • Testing for a learning disability

Health Forms/Immunizations

The State of Illinois requires medical, dental and vision tests for students at various stages in their schooling. Rockford Lutheran School is required to obtain the forms as required by state law.

Upon enrollment to Rockford Lutheran School, parents must obtain and submit a current physical examination for each new student. (Your doctor's office should have the form or you can download it from the ISBE.)
Students entering Grade 2 must submit a dental examination. (Your dentist's office should have the form or you can download it from the ISBE.)
Any new student enrolling in school for the first time must provide proof of an eye examination.



Rockford Lutheran School uses the FACTS School Management suite of online tools for student records, admissions and enrollment, financial aid and tuition billing.


Once a student is enrolled, parents will have access to on-line resources and access to various parts of the systems through the on-line Parent Portal, accessed through the FACTS main website or by clicking the FACTS mortarboard cap logo anywhere on our website.
