RLS HoCo Dance 2024:Top 10 Things to Know

1.     High School Homecoming Dance is onSaturday, Oct 5^th in the Varsity Gym. Tickets must be purchased byThursday, Oct 3^rd.

2.     Attendees are expected to dress upfor the occasion. Attendees are expected to wear clothing that coversappropriately.

3.     Guests must complete a Guest pass andreceive RLS administrator permission in advance to attend.

4.     All Guests are required to bring apicture ID for admittance.
RLS students are responsible for the behavior of their guests.

5.     Attendees need to check in between7-8 PM. Those arriving after that time will need their parent to communicatewith dance chaperones before gaining admittance. No drinks may be brought intothe dance. Water will be provided.

6.     All students attending the dance may besubject to a portable breath test upon reasonable suspicion of consumingalcohol. Students who display behavior suggesting they may be under otherinfluences will have their parents contacted to escort their student home withrelative discipline rules applied.

7.     In order to maintain a comfortable,safe and inviting atmosphere, dancing that is sexually suggestive (in the chaperonemind) is prohibited. Attendees who repeatedly do not maintain this boundarywill be asked to sit/leave the dance.

8.     Attendees may not return once theyhave left the building. Attendees should bring in all their items they may needat the start of the event. Attendees who leave the dance before 9:30 PM will needto sign-out upon leaving and depart the campus.

9.     A DJ will be playing music meant fordancing at a school event. Understand that they are not just playing yourfavorite songs.

10. The dance will have numerous adult chaperones present andwill also have security on site.

• *The final deadline is two weeks after retake day; if you do not select an image VIP will choose the pose to use in the Yearbook and/or Class Picture for you.

• Retake pictures will be taken on October 21, 2024.

• Retake photos will be added to your online image gallery approximately 7-10 days after photo day

Parents are always welcome to contact teachers individually, but we would like to offer an opportunity for parents to meet with many teachers at once.  RLS is having optional parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, Oct 24th from 3:30-8 PM and on Friday Oct 25th from 8 AM to Noon. If there is a teacher with whom you wish to meet, please choose an available time slot via the Sign Up Genius link.
