Join the list of families (around 20% each year) who take advantage of the SCRIP program to save money on everyday things they already need and buy while earning credit (thousands of dollars credited each year) to help pay tuition and producing a contribution to help support Rockford Lutheran School! This is not a trick or a gimmick and it is as good as it sounds.
What is SCRIP?
Scrip can be used to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials. Local and national retailers sell “scrip” to us in the form of gift cards or certificates for products or services. Rockford Lutheran is able to purchase these at a discount price determined by each retailer. Our families and friends can purchase these from us at the face value amount. We then SHARE the savings between the full cost and the discounted cost equally with you. Half of the amount of the discount will be placed on your student billing account and the other half is counted towards the Crusader Fund annual fundraising goal, which supports tuition assistance for students at Rockford Lutheran School. It’s a win-win!
How SCRIP Works
The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non-profit groups to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. Our school buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center and local vendors at a discount (ranging from 2 to 20 percent and more) and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. From that, 50 percent comes directly off a designated student’s tuition account and the other 50 percent is donated to the school.

LOCAL SCRIP VENDORS
Rockford Lutheran carries Scrip for 23 local vendors including Woodman’s, Lino’s, Culver’s, Beef-A-Roo, Megs, Mary’s Market, Stockholm Inn, Valli Produce to name a few. All Scrip Orders and Pick-up will be managed through the business office at the 3411 N. Alpine campus Main Office. Orders cannot be processed without payment. SCRIP ONLINE
Additionally, there are hundreds of participating retailers online. You can register with Scrip to purchase gift cards, reload your cards or pay at the cash register from your mobile device. It is easy to sign up.
