Athletics Overview
At Rockford Lutheran, Crusader athletics at all levels play a key role in molding faithful, well-rounded students. Our superior athletic teams exhibit a deep sense of obligation, responsibility and dedication to each other. Our teammates (coaches, players, parents, athletic administrators, etc.) develop a strong sense of unity that is only provided within a nurturing family setting.
Many of the principles and skills that are learned in the classroom are challenged and developed through participation in athletics. The field of competition provides the opportunity for character growth and the development of our student athletes. These programs provide a venue for students to challenge themselves to do their best and strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives.
We emphasize the development of sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork as fundamental to the success of each student athlete. Total programs incorporate preparation and competition, both in-season and off. Our facilities provide quality practice environments, as well as weight training and conditioning opportunities.
