EVERYBODY:

Meal Packing at Our Saviors Lutheran Church:  Students who signed up to help with meal packing at Our Saviors, please remember to be in the gym at Our Saviors this Saturday at 9:30am.  If you would like to attend and have not signed up please see Mrs. Iasparro no later than lunch tomorrow (Friday).

Volunteering for Oktoberfest:  The German Society of Rockford is looking for students to help at their annual Oktoberfest on Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th.  Help is needed with games, refreshments and parking. There is a sign-up sheet in the main office.

Theatre Board Meeting:  Informational meeting today in room 112 for anyone interested in being a part of Theatre Board.

SENIOR HIGH:

Beloit College will be visiting Monday 6th hour. Beloit College offers the Stateline Scholarship, which is a scholarship of $32,000/year given to as many students as qualify. Because we want to keep our awesome local students here, the only  requirement is that you are an admissible student!

Junior/Senior high: If you have gone above and beyond in service to your community, apply for the 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Award. See Mr. Kortze for details.  College scholarships are available, and its a great recognition to put on a college app.

Model UN participants: don’t forget that your deposit is due today.  Talk to Ms. Ernst if you have any questions or concerns.

In Youth We Trust Council:  High School students. Interested in being on the “In Youth We Trust Council” that grants money to are youth community projects?  See Mr. Kortze for info.  They meet once a month on Saturday morning.  A great experience for community volunteering

Drive-Right Classes:  Drive-Right is offering driver’s education classes at Rockford Lutheran for any student who turns 15 by the last class session.  The classes meet Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 7:40 am for 7 weeks beginning this Monday, September 9th.  Call Drive-Right at 815-965-4638 or register online at www.drive-right.com.  Classes are limited to the first 35 students who register.

Jazz Band:  Jazz Band Auditions will be today after school for anyone interested.  If times don’t work, please see Mr. Staehr and he can arrange a different time.

Eco Club Meeting:  Give back to the people, creatures, places and spaces that God has blessed us with!  Join us at our 1st of the year Eco Club meeting to be held in Mrs. Giamalva’s room (103) on Friday, Sept. 13th at 7:15am.  If you are a returning Eco Club member interested in an officer position, please see Mrs. Giamalva as soon as possible before Thursday the 12th.  Look for the flyers in the hallway.

David’s Bridal Coupons:  There are coupons for David’s Bridal available in the school office for anyone who is interested in shopping there for homecoming dresses.
