JH/SH Morning Announcements - September 24, 2014

EVERYBODY:

Found:  A set of small white head phones were found.  They are at the front desk in the office.

Yearbooks:  2014-15 Yearbooks can still be ordered for $45.00 until September 30th.  Yearbook forms can be picked up in the office or from Mrs. Kortze, (room 107).  If you are not sure if you ordered a yearbook, check the list posted in the cafeteria.  Everyone who has ordered a yearbook is on the list.  The price increases to $55.00 on October 1st.

Homecoming Talent Show: If you have an awesome skill, sign up for the Talent Show.  The show will be on Monday, September 29th of Homecoming week.  The signup sheet will be on the office window.  All types of acts are encouraged.

Homecoming T-shirts:  If you pre-ordered a T-shirt on Back to School Day, you can pick your T-shirt up from Ms. Ernst in room 126 before or after school.  If you aren’t sure if you ordered one, see Ms. Ernst.

Subway Cards: Subway is now accepting gift cards for payment.  You can purchase $10 or $50 subway cards in the office.  The subway cards are part of the Script program.  Come and buy your cards before or after school and during lunch.

Girls Tennis Results:  The Girls Tennis Team beat Mendota 3-2. And a special shout out to Sydney Hicks who was on track for a great win when she took a bad fall and sprained her ankle. Congratulations girls and fast healing Sydney!

Girls Golf Results:  Congratulations to the girls golf team on their win last night!  They beat Winnebago 198 to 250 giving them a 6-4 dual record so far.

SENIOR HIGH:

POWDER PUFF:  Any junior or senior boy who would like to be a cheerleader for the Powder Puff game on 10/1 needs to report to the athletic office by Friday at noon to sign an agreement for cheering.  If you have questions please see Mr. Campbell or Mrs. Kellen.

Model UN:  Any students interested in attending the Model UN trip in February, don’t forget that your deposit money is due to Ms. Ernst on Tuesday at the latest!  Get your deposits in!!  We will have a meeting for all those who have turned in deposits on Wednesday during the new.

Senior Class Banner:  Those people that signed up to help with the senior homecoming banner, please meet in Mrs. Volkert’s room (122) after Chapel Friday, 9/26.  The meeting was changed due to Homecoming Court voting.

Junior Class T-shirts: Junior class, get designs to Ms. Thiessen or Mr. Bier by tomorrow.

Sophomore Class Banner:  All sophomores interested in helping with the sophomore homecoming banner, go to the MPR during homeroom today!

Freshman Banner:  Students that signed up to work on the freshman banner please meet in the MPR today during the news to talk.

Teacher Assistant for Ms. Halberstadt:  Ms. Halberstadt, the physical science teacher is still looking for a T.A.   Come see her in room 102 if you are interested.

Read for a Lifetime Program for High School Students: If you like to read please stop in the library to find out about and sign up for Read for a Lifetime and get a copy of this year’s reading list.
