EVERYBODY:

Yearbook Photos: Yearbook photos will be taken next Thursday, Sept. 21st.  English teachers should be handing out order forms.  On Thursday, when your class is called, bring your order form with payment to the Auditorium & give it to Olson Photography. Uniforms must be worn on picture day.

Locks on Lockers:  All hall lockers must have a lock on them.  If you have a lock, please put it on your locker.  If you have lost your lock please go to the office to purchase one.  On Monday, September 18, any locker without a lock will have one placed on it.  It will cost $5.00 to get the combination to your new lock.

Hurrican Harvey Relief:  Student Council and Student Life are sponsoring a donation drive for Hurricane Harvey relief!  We are specifically collecting diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, paper towels, all toiletries, and new or gently used clothing.  Please make a donation for those in need.  Please bring items to your homeroom teacher!

Homecoming Dress Up Days:

Monday:  Candyland, Sweet Dreams – come in your PJs

Tuesday:  Operation, Dr/Patient – dress up as a doctor or a hospital patient

Wednesday: Guess Who, Identity Crisis – Dress up to imitate someone, keep it classy

Thursday:  Fortress America, Patriotic – Dress in red, white & blue

Friday:  Battleship, Class Rivalry

SENIOR HIGH:

High School Play Auditions: Anyone interested in auditioning for the high school play “Magic”, stop by room 114 to sign up and pick up a monologue. 

Manufacturing Tours:  In October, the Rockford community will be hosting Manufacturing tours and open houses at several businesses throughout the area as part of MFGDAY and Superior Joining Technologies would like to invite the high school students from Lutheran to tour their facility.  This is a way to spark interest in STEM related fields for our students at they decide on career paths to choose. You will be able to see and experience what manufacturing opportunities are really like in our community.  This will take place on October 6th.    Please sign up in the Guidance Office if you are interested in participating.

Juniors and Seniors interested in a Youth Leadership Summit at Illinois Valley Community College on October 20, please sign up in the guidance office.  Leave at 7 am, return by 4:00.  Sponsored by Illinois Representative Adam Kinzinger
